Ian joined the Clipso family at the age of 16, where he began his training at the Hemel salon in 1989. In 1992, Ian was made manager and he then took over the franchise in 2001.

The Clipso Hemel team are a strong group of people who give 100% to their individual roles, the salon and to the

customer. They are constantly striving to bring the salon’s name to the forefront of the industry through a combination of local competitions, national editorial work or awards.

As a director Ian believes in being as hands on as possible, leading by example. “I actively try to involve my staff in the day to day activities of the salon and believe in an open communication policy. When you have a happy, motivated and ambitious team – you have a successful salon. I strongly believe that the success of my salon stems from the individuals within,” comments Ian.
