Not only does Steve Hamberger work as a stylist in the Watford salon but he also overseas all of the other salons in he role as Area Manager. Steve first began his Clipso career as the manager of the Hemel Hempstead salon before moving to St Albans where he worked as manager for 12 years. In 2001, when all the salons were franchised, Steve moved to work in the Watford salon and took on the role of Clipso area manager.

Becoming area manager was the natural development for Steve as he had already been overseeing both Hemel Hempstead and St Albans. In this role Steve oversees

all of the franchisees, which involves visiting the salons every week to check everything is going well and holding monthly meetings with all the franchisees to discuss any problems or ideas or ideas they may have.

Working as area manager gives Steve variety in his day to day work and allows him more involvement. Steve comments, “It’s great to be involved in the progression of the company, seeing the business grow and relishing its success. I like being informed about what’s going on with the company and really enjoy being there for the franchisees.”
